The Little Peach

I am stupidly excited to share with you new wedding stationery company The Little Peach for several reasons. Firstly, they’re possibly the cutest invitations I’ve ever seen! Second, they’re extra special in that they’re screen printed so each invitation is like a mini limited edition work of art. And what’s more, the awesome artist behind the range is a friend of mine!

I’ve followed Sally’s creative pursuits for years now and love discovering what she’s up to by way of her website. I’ve actually been wanting to share her work for some time but it didn’t really make sense on a wedding blog. So I’m over the moon that her pursuits have led her to creating this amazing range for engaged couples. And I think you will be too :)

Currently Sally is offering 6 background designs that she can illustrate you and your partner into…

Completely custom

Or if one of the charming backgrounds above doesn’t suit then you can go for a completely custom design and have yourselves set in a background that does. This insanely adorable owl set created for Kelly-Ann, a school friend of Sally’s, and her now-husband Daniel was actually the first wedding stationery set Sally printed and inspired her to create The Little Peach. It even included badge favours which is an additional service Sally offers…

Another delightful custom creation for Harry & Joe incorporated maps and a wedding cake topper…

Lots of options

As well as the invitation being customised with the couple itself there are many more ways you can make these invites suit you… you can change the colours, the fonts, pick which card and envelopes you fancy, decide if you’d like envelope inserts, have the envelopes to your guests handwritten or digitally printed, have your bundles of pretty paper wrapped with baker’s twine and then there are those badge favours I mentioned earlier. I think it’s fair to say Sally’s thought of pretty much everything when it comes to creating an amazing wedding stationery set!

To find out more just head on over to The Little Peach or for those lucky enough to be heading to The Vintage Wedding Fairin London on Sunday you’ll get to meet Sally in person! She’s a lovely Lancashire lass and I wish her all the best in her adorable business :)

P.S. Sally’s not the only talented one in her family. Her sister is creative too and has her own amazing blog to prove it: Mrs Biddle’s Bits and Bobbins :)

Boris & Doris

I shared my love of laser cut cards with this incredible invitation design. The downside to that invitation was that the couple had designed it themselves so you wouldn’t be able to have it for your wedding. Good news though is that fab UK company Boris & Doris got in touch and they create lasercut wedding stationery. That you can have at your wedding. Check out some of their fantastic designs…

Lovely! They have lots of colour options to choose from and can create custom designs too :)

And I still want a laser cutter.

Woodcut

A recent Pinterest excursion had me discover the most beautiful invitations which I just had to share. Christine & Ian decided to take on the role of stationery designers themselves saying…

“We’ve both found that the sometimes arduous work involved with creating something yourself is vastly out-weighed by the pleasure of looking upon something you have created yourself. It is also the only real way to let your personalities show through the work.”

Not only did they create invitations that were true to themselves they also saved a considerable amount of money. The total cost was less than $200. It would cost massive amounts more to get invitations that looked like this…

Incredible right?! I am in love with the laser cutting. I want a laser cutter so bloomin’ badly! The way the trees pop up too = wow! The amount of work that has gone into these is incredible but so worth it. Their save the date was impressive also…

I’m following their blog now because I can’t wait to see what their wedding day will look like! :)

Lovely Leaff

The lovely Kaitie of Leaff Design got in touch recently to share her wedding invites. I loved the amount of detail that went into them and as Leaff Design specialises in commissioned designer wedding stationery she could make you something similarly gorgeous for your own wedding. Yay!

Kaitie told me a little bit about Leaff…

Leaff is a small and friendly graphic design company that began in April 2010, from my own and my fiance’s dream of owning our own design business. We are both professional graphic designers, and we love what we do! We got into wedding stationery design long before Leaff was born, when a lot of our friends were getting married. They called on our skills for their wedding stationery, and it inflamed a passion for that area of design. Being an honest, friendly and approachable company, we very much enjoy working with individuals on personal projects like this.

Here’s a few snippets of past projects…

Intricately illustrated

The beautiful invitations for Kaitie & James’ wedding follow a romantic theme, with soft, feminine shades, hand illustrations, and intricate detail (their names on the bridge is an especially sweet touch). The whole range was printed onto a heavy weight, uncoated ivory board. They hand finished each of the maps by folding them using a form of origami, and sealing them with a sticker. Finally the invitations were wrapped in ivory tissue and sealed with a wax stamp…

I imagine the guests were delighted on opening them! If you’d like something similar just contact Leaff Design for a consultation. I think that just leaves me to say a big congratulations to Kaitie and James on their upcoming October wedding and wish them all the best with their business :)
