I would love to see more neon lights being used in weddings. I think they would look really rather awesome on your wedding pics. And because of this I have to tell you about a project I stumbled across called ’12 Months of Neon Love’.

Launched on Valentine’s Day this year, artists Victoria Lucas and Richard Wheater are to create 12 neon signs that will be auctioned off on the 14th of each month to the highest bidder on eBay. The signs will be lyrical statements borrowed from well-known songs and that relate to love. I can just imagine them as a backdrop to your vows or photo booth or on a wall next to the dance floor.
The first sold for its reserve price of £300 and is a lyric borrowed from Elvis…

The second is on eBay right now and quotes a Beautiful South song…

To keep track of the works coming up just head to their blog and wait until the 14th of each month to try and snag one of these limited edition art pieces for your wedding, your home or both! And, if you live in Wakefield, West Yorkshire perhaps you’ll be able to see them for yourself as after each creation, before they sell, each piece will be erected on the roof top of the Neon Workshops as “a human heart-felt voice burning above the industrial setting of warehouses.”
