Posts featuring ‘flowers’

Fall romantics…

… is the wonderfully apt name of the latest range of gorgeous headpieces by Mignonne (apart from the first one, that’s from last year but I liked the leaves). If you’ve been reading the blog for a while now you’ll know that, along with my love of pretty things, I’m a sucker for beautiful photography. Product photography when done well makes me so happy because it shows off the piece to the extent it deserves and makes my blog look lovely ;)

And Mignonne have perfected the art of pretty product photography. Of course you still need the product to be good and Jenn’s creations don’t disappoint there. These flowers and feathers in pretty pastel shades would definitely look divine on a fall bride… and I’d even be tempted to steal the photo idea for a cute photo booth backdrop too ;)

And this is just the Fall Romantics collection. There are loads more in the shop so go have a look :)

For the bold bride

Those looking for chic, stand-out pieces to rock on wedding day need to check out Ava Ray. Ava hand-makes all her pieces in her London studio and they’ve even appeared in Vogue UK. I don’t know if I’d be a brave enough bride to go this bold on my big day but I’d sure admire those that do…

I could perhaps be swayed by the big veil bow; a totally fab, modern version of the veil if ever I saw one! And I do love that last one with the arrowhead; a cute symbol to don on the day… as if you’ve been struck by cupid’s bow :)

A bunch of bouquets

My post on Geronimo Balloons suggested that a balloon would be an excellent alternative to the wedding bouquet. Which it would :) But I wanted to find other alternatives too and do a little round-up for you on the blog. Basically you can make almost anything into a bouquet; if you can form a bouquet shape and it looks pretty then you’re good to go. Here are 12 bouquets, using all sorts of materials that you can treasure after the event too…

Are any of these for you? Or are the flowers an aspect where you favour the traditional? I’m loving the lollipops but would worry I’d have the urge to start snacking on them as I walk down the aisle; and I have a feeling that would not be a good look.

Inspiration board : Botanical Beautiful

A wall of botanical illustrations to wed before or perhaps a gorgeous, overgrown greenhouse as your setting; beautiful floral prints for your bridesmaids, a ring that grows and terrariums for favours. Fresh ferns and florals and greenery everywhere. I want to go to this wedding…

Lilac Saloon

I love finding crafty people making gorgeous wedding ‘details’ on Etsy. Such as Megan. She runs Lilac Saloon and sells an array of cute, handcrafted, perfect-for-weddings stuff! Like these fab felt flowers…

Lilac-Saloon-Flowers

I think loads of the wall flowers (pictured at the top) would look fantastic on a central wall either as a backdrop to the ceremony or your first dance… and a felt flower for the hair just to tie it all in :)

And then there’s the embroidery hoops with the sweet embroidery…

But my personal favourite? Felt heart-shaped confetti!

Lilac-Saloon-Confetti

At approximately £6 it’s probably a little pricey for all your guests to throw at you after the ceremony but the cost is a reflection of the fact Megan hand cuts each and every lil heart out! This product actually came from Megan not wanting to chuck all the felty remnants from her bigger projects away and so to conserve resources she made the hearts! They’d look super-cute sprinkled on your wedding tables :)
