Brooch bouquets aren’t exactly a new idea in wedding-land, but I still love seeing different crafters takes on such a trend. What I liked about the vintage bridal bouquets from wedding planner Lindsey (aka Get Knotted) was how, amongst the more regular round offerings, there are some in the shape of hearts. There’s even a classic teardrop bouquet. I really love the combination of a traditional teardrop shape and the more modern choice to ditch the fresh flowers and go with decorative jewels instead…
And off course you then have a beautiful keepsake to cherish forever after your big day… or a multitude of brooches to choose from on a evening out!

I’m a huge fan of camping and liked the idea of celebrating my recent 30th birthday doing just that. However, inviting guests that were less keen campers and with it being in October, I thought hiring a yurt would be the ideal compromise: the feel of camping without the freezing part!
A quick Google search later I found The Lovely Yurt Company. I thought I should share a few photos with you because personally I can’t think of a better idea for a hen do than glamping it up in a yurt!
Good friends & good food
With a roaring log fire, good food and drink (I made this!), some entertainment and your good girl friends, you’re bound to have loads of fun! Cosier and comfier than trotting around town in high heels that’s for sure!
Not only is this an awesome idea for the hen do but it would also make a really romantic honeymoon destination :)

It seems that this blog has affected my brain as I find myself “thinking wedding” all the time now. So when I saw these pictures…
… I didn’t think “ooo what a lovely-looking rug to brighten up a room” I instantly thought “how incredibly cool would it be to have this as your wedding-day aisle?!”
Very cool is the answer.
