Jellymongers

I used to love jelly and ice cream as a child but I can’t remember the last time I ate it. As a dessert, jelly seems a little amateur. Definitely not the first thing I’d think to serve up at a wedding. But then I came across the book Jelly with Bompas and Parr and instantly my idea about jelly changed!

Sam Bompas & Harry Parr are two young men that have turned jelly into art. The business has grown since 2007 from just the two of them into a team of cooks, specialised technicians, architects, graphic designers, and administrators and they have expanded their culinary creations into areas other than jelly. Their projectsare inspiring and well worth a look.

But it’s the jelly that I’m here to show you, because I believe jelly, the Bompas & Parr way, would be a welcome addition to a wedding…

Amazing right?!

A Minted morning

Let’s brighten up a miserable monday morning with a competition! Woop! The fab people over at Minted are giving one lucky person $150 to put towards stupidly pretty paper for their big day!

If you haven’t seen Minted then get over there and check out their stationery, it’s all gorgeous. And the thing I really love about this company is that they give independent designers the chance to showcase their talent and make some money in the process. Every month Minted holds a design challenge that anybody can enter and the winner receives a cash prize as well as their design being sold in the online shop.

Because of these design challenges the shop is constantly getting updated with the very best in pretty paper. And you could have some of it yourself… for free!

Megan & Mathew

If anybody can take a picture of a mop and bucket and make it look beautiful it’s Jonas Peterson. This guy is incredible with a camera! I love his work and am always excited to see a new wedding he’s shot. The wedding of Megan & Mathew was beautifully captured by Jonas and, although I love all weddings, I’ve fallen head over heels for this one. Simple and sweet with stunning stationery, gorgeous handcrafted touches, a rustic and relaxed vibe and, of course, the most important detail… a boy and a girl that want to spend the rest of their days together…
