Wedding inspiration : chic chevrons

Chevrons are a simple way to inject some contemporary cool into your big day design. Perfect for an urban wedding they’re a fab choice for those that don’t want pastels and soft shapes but instead want something that stands out. Just think zig-zags on anything and you’re there. Here’s a few ideas to start you off…

  1. This watercolour invite by Wiley Valentine is gorgeous! I love the colours and how the chevron’s inside the envelope. Even if you can’t get the watercolour-look chevron invites are one of the easier DIY designs to pull off.
  2. Chevron shoes! Just add these cute clips from The Bow Makers to any shoes you want.
  3. As I said yesterday, maids in print are cool! A dress such as this from 24 East would be a big day look with a difference.
  4. Ad for the bride? A chevron necklace by Astrik perhaps?
  5. You know I love an alternative altar. This DIY project on Spunky Junky could help you create a chevron wall for you to say your vows before. Good eh?
  6. Another DIY project! Make a chevron ring pillow with The Sweetest Occasion.
  7. Chevron

  8. These beautiful plates and cake stands by Aedriel Originals would look amazing at your reception! The plates are perhaps to pricey to have one per guest but they’d look really fab on a sweet table.
  9. And you can even put the chevron on the sweets such as on this amazing cake found via Grey Likes Weddings and captured by Meg Perotti.
  10. So I’ve said it before but I will not let up that quilts are cool and a great addition to wedding decor. This one from A Quilt is Nice is actually another DIY project! So much crafty goodness.
  11. You can get your guests in on the chevron loving with these cute magnets from Robayre. A great favour find.
  12. Chevron fabric, hemmed for a table runner such as this one captured by Gabriel Ryan via My Sweet and Saucy is simple but very stylish.
  13. I absolutely love this chest of drawers! Found on Creature.Gorgeous it could inspire a fab project for your big day. Find a cheap, secondhand, chest of drawers and paint with the help of masking tape. Then pop your guestbook or desserts on it at the wedding. It would look incredible!
