A wooden wedding

I love the natural beauty of wood and think it can look just stunning when incorporated into weddings. So it’s round-up time! I’ve searched the web to find a few ideas to incorporate the gorgeous grain of wood into your big day…

  1. These beautiful balsa wood flowers by Lauryl Lane and found on White Thread would be the perfect accompaniment to a wooden wedding (or indeed any wedding, they are so incredible!)
  2. A hand-painted invitation made of wood by Wedding Day Tree = wow!
  3. For an alternative to metal, wooden wedding rings are a fab choice. This one is from Stout Woodworks.
  4. Your bridesmaids would look completely cool in these Landscape dresses from Norwegian Wood!
  5. Even a simple wooden sign looks great. A DIY project perhaps? Or buy one such as the one pictured from Designs by Robyn Love.
  6. The talented Amy of Eat Drink Chic often gives away printables for FREE! And these numbers to go on wooden plaques are perfect for a wooden wedding!
  7. A wooden guestbook is another ace idea! The pictured jigsaw from Bella Puzzles would make a great keepsake after all the guests have written on the individual pieces.
  8. And for the bride? A statement necklace of course. Accessorise that white dress with this DIY project.

  10. There are a few cake ideas out there. You could attach balsa wood flowers to your cake or do the chocolate with woodgrain effect thing. I like this unusual wooden stand complete with roots. I’m fond of the log-effect cake on there too :)
  11. Oooo just look at this rug. I’m thinking… the cutest thing to stand on to say your vows?!
  12. Also from Wedding Day Tree these cute tags would be perfect for attaching to the favours and doubling as place names.
  13. Hanging lights from branches above the reception tables such as this would look magical.
  14. Cute! I love everything about this picture but mainly it was to show you that using wood as cupcakes stands looks well good :D You can buy the flags from Wedzu too.
  15. And finally, I believe the very best way to incorporae the beauty of wood into your wedding day is by having your wedding in a wood! This beautiful image from Caitlin & Josh’s wedding and taken by Twin Hearts Photography makes me want to get married. Right now! ;)

  1. I really like the wooden invitations and tags but that last picture – oh my goodness!! I LOVE it! Have been dreaming of a forest wedding recently, and I think you may have sealed the deal! :o)

Perfect for the fake wedding you may have to have as you can’t get married outside in England :( Or if Gav finally does ask you can do it abroad! Yay! I’d love to plan a woodland wedding for you ;D
