Olivia Grace Bolles aka Olivia Bee turns 17 today which means she was 16 or younger when she took the images I am about to show you. To be so young but so capable of documenting the world around you, in such a beautiful way, is nothing short of incredible. I wish I could do it now let alone then. Seeing Olivia’s work makes me want to take my camera out more, to document my world with friends and alone and paint a picture of my life as it is now.
Olivia paints the perfect picture of being a teenager and her images detailing young love are what I wanted to share with you today.
They take me right back to my teenage years, when summers were spent riding bikes with boys, when sharing ice-creams meant something more and when painting a boy’s nails was the best way you could think to get close to them…
Such beautiful images that capture teenage romance perfectly. It’s too late for me to capture my teenage years and I do often wish I’d know about photography back then, known I’d look back and regret but regret is futile. Instead I will be inspired and try to photograph my life and the world around me more, so that I don’t look back in another few years and wish I’d started now!
I loved looking through Olivia’s work and if you’ve liked what you’ve seen above then definitely head over to her website and Flickr page, such beautiful stuff.
She also makes amazing videos, yup so very talented, and I particularly love Bitch Stole My Ice Cream.
One last thing… happy birthday Olivia! You are awesome!

I love these!
My, my! That girl has got a future behind the camera that’s for sure. Beautiful timeless work. x
These are amazing pictures. Youth and photography go hand in hand, those shared carefree moments don’t happen as often the older we get.
Excellent pictures at such a young age! No Photoshop on these ones! :)
