Easter’s less than a week away and so I decided to make up an inspiration board for it. Pastel colours suit a springtime wedding but you could definitely throw in some bolder colours too and how cute to use lots of egg & bunny ideas?!

Eggs & Bunnies
Here are a few of my ideas to help you achieve an Eggs & Bunnies wedding:
Stationery: How about a more sophisticated version of that classic card every child makes at school where you open the egg and there’s a chick inside. The chick could be announcing the details of the wedding! Or a design such as this one, although for a baby shower, could still work well at a wedding. I really do love the chick idea though!
Bride: Now, you could incorporate eggs into your dress like this but I’m thinking you may want to wear something a little prettier (and less weird) on your wedding day. So just pick any dress you want and team it with a piece of beautiful jewellery like this bird’s nest.
Bridesmaids: Again something subtle like jewellery will work or you could dress them in duck egg blue! A little page boy or flower girl could carry the rings on a nest pillow that you can learn how to make here.
Shoes: How cute are those bunny shoes?! I love them! And at only $49, they’re a bunny bargain!
Flowers: The flowers in the image are gorgeous pastel paper creations that would work perfectly. I’m sure a good florist could work in some of these plastic speckled eggs to any bouquet you choose which could look rather lovely.
Decoration: As seen in the inspiration board you could have coloured egg garlands, stencilled eggs, egg shells in egg cups with flowers in them and if you have a lot of time and quite a bit of money it would be incredible to have an egg-filled tree!
Food: You could even go to the extent of incorporating the theme into your food. But as a vegetarian I’m not going to suggest eating bunnies :( You could certainly have an egg-based dish but if you’re worried not all your guests are egg lovers then how about serving crème brûlée in an egg shell sitting in an egg cup? And to wipe their messy mouths… bunny napkins that you can learn how to fold here.
Cake: I love the cake in the inspiration board and it could easily be a DIY creation; just ice your cake and stick white chocolate cigarellos all around, pour mini eggs on the top (yum) and pop some chicks on! Or for an alternative topper how about these quirky bride & groom bunnies.
Favours: The ceramic eggs with names on would make beautiful favours. But for a budget option a chocolate egg would be perfect! Kinder eggs are a personal favour of mine (unless you get a jigsaw – boo). If you’re worried about the branded packaging not tying in right just unwrap them and re-wrap in coloured foil.
Other ideas: Confetti in a brightly coloured egg shell is a fantastic idea. And a massive Easter egg hunt is a must!
