Portraits in Primrose Hill

Easily, the best thing about writing this blog is the people I’ve met. Some I’ve met in person, some I’ve chatted with via email. All of them are lovely, extremely creative and share this passion of mine: weddings. So when Chloé Browne of Caught the Light offered to take my pictures I jumped at the chance. Because, after lots of emails back and forth, I really wanted to meet her! Chloé turned out to be just as lovely in real life and I spent a relaxed, fun afternoon chatting with her about blogging and weddings and our love lives…

She also took lots of photos of me whilst we wandered around Primrose Hill and she did an exceptional job because I am far from a natural in front of the camera!

On our wander we came across an awesome shop that’s recently opened on Regents Park Road and for anybody in the area (actually even for those not in the area) it’s well worth a visit. Fashion designer and owner Daniel Poole has filled his space with neon lights and nostalgic memorabilia as well as contemporary artworks and some downright freaky dolls! I would love to see the neon skull as a prop at a wedding; it would make for some incredible photographs!

Definitely a shop that has to be seen, although I can’t guarantee gorgeous lil’ Saskia with her stupidly cute leopard print coat will be there on your visit!

After some time admiring the crazy contents of the shop it was on to the famous Primrose Bakery which is so cosy and smells amazing!

And finally, my favourite of all the lovely images taken…

I’ve never had a portrait session before and really didn’t know what too expect. But, although a little nervous with the camera on me, I really enjoyed it! It definitely helped that Chloé is so friendly and easy to get along with but then that’s really a necessary trait in all photographers (good ones anyway) – you have to be a ‘people person’!

A huge thank you to her for the beautiful images and my mum says thanks too, she’s already discussing which ones we should print out for Grandma and Granddad!

    Darling Debs,
You look FABULOUS and I am so happy for you that you were able to go and have a photo shoot with the amazingly talented Chloé. I still haven’t met her yet, but hear the nicest things about her and know already that she is such a talented photographer. Which is also shown in these photos, which are soooo beautiful. I love how she photographs the details and I love how she captured you. You look so cute all wrapped up in the cold, and I’m so happy you had such a great day! <3

And more thanks to Josie, Paul and Annemarie! It’s been so amazing receiving these comments. For someone who’s camera shy and rather insecure it’s meant a lot. Big credit goes to Chloe though – she is very good with her camera :) Thank you!!! :D xxx
