When I blogged about The Granddaddy I completely fell in love with the idea of Airstream trailer holidays. But as visiting that particular trailer park included a flight to Cape Town I decided to see if there was anything similar closer to home. And that’s how I found Vintage Vacations!
Helen & Frazer’s awesome business started in 2004 when they bought their first Airstream over from America, parking it on the Isle of Wight where their holiday home was. Now they have a field full of vintage American trailers along with three recent UK additions! And not only do they have caravans but they also have four other propoerties. All of them decorated in fab vintage findings.
OK it’s too exciting to talk about any longer, you have to look at the pictures instead!

Delightful details
I absolutely adore the work that’s gone into the details of these places: from the patchwork quilts and floors of the caravans to the mismatched fabric sofa and vintage mirrors of The Bungalow. Feeling like you’ve stepped back in time at The Sailmakers and the beachside look that extends to oars as curtain poles at The Shack. But I think The Mission may just be my favourite. The building is just beautiful with its stained glass windows and wooden interior. Add to that the open-plan living with mezzanine bedrooms and a bath that’s sunk into the original baptismal font and you have a building I don’t want to just holiday in, but I want to live in!
Helen & Frazer don’t just accommodate for unique honeymoons, they also host wedding celebrations. They have several different locations to host their ‘quirky and kitsch’ events and can even offer accommodation such as Airstreams, vintage tents (the triangle ones!) & tipis for guests to stay in. Definitely a potential idea for my future wedding!
